About Matt McGrath

Matthew McGrath (Matt) is the founder and director of McGrath Services NZ Ltd.

Matt completed his plumbing apprenticeship in 2008. Matt is a highly qualified certifying Plumber, Gasfitter and Drainlayer. An IQP (independent Qualified Person) in backflow prevention testing and is a qualified and registered Electrical Service Technician with the EWRB meaning he can work on electrical appliances and fixtures, including disconnection and connection up to 1000V.

In 2019 Matt was awarded the United States Antarctic medal and certificate for services to the United States Antarctic Program and National Science Foundation for his work at McMurdo Station. Matt has worked in all fields of Plumbing from local domestic work in Wellington and Kapiti coast to larger industrial and commercial projects throughout New Zealand. Matt also worked in the mining industry in Western Australia undertaking a variety of large scale construction projects.

Matt is available for the greater Wellington Region.
